Sealants

Dental Sealants are plastic coatings used to protect the chewing surfaces of the permanent teeth from decay. Usually the first teeth sealed are the first molars once the chewing surface erupts past the gum line. They are placed in the pit or grooved area of the chewing surfaces that may become vulnerable to decay. Sometimes, they are used on other permanent teeth if deep grooves are present.
